Tubbo: a stylish experience

Tubbo was initially created as a protection enclosure for the ski slopes’ skidding tracks, and it has since been installed throughout Europe, in locations such as Sierra Nevada, Panticosa and Astun in Spain, Passo Tonale and San Domenico in Italy, Andermatt in Switzerland and Samoëns in France. In view of the harsh conditions that characterise the mountain winter weather, Tubbo has proven its ability to withstand winds of up to 200km/h and snowfalls over 1m thick.

Tubbo has also been used for stands to host temporary events and product exhibitions by renowned names such as Harley Davidson, LG, Heineken, British Airways, Beefeater and a long list of brands that have seen how its simple lines allow users to customise and adapt their own brand image, in addition to the elegance and simplicity that help it adapt to the most diverse architecture designs such as St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, Kursaal by Rafael Moneo in San Sebastian or the 13th century main Royal Palace in Barcelona.

Tubbo is an enclosure on wheels that was created during a product R&D process with the purpose of providing a pop up shop at any time and any place inside a shopping centre. Our prototype was first tested at the Ruhr Park shopping centre near Dortmund, Germany.

However, the latest news regarding Tubbo’s versatility are now coming from Lyon, France, where this elegant enclosure is being used as a bus stop shelter to fully protect travellers waiting for their transport links. Tubbo’s advantages when compared to other types of shelter are its proven resistance, while it can be installed without having to modify the pavement, as it does not require any floor attachments.

Also in Lyon, Tubbo’s features as a connection walkway between transport terminals, car park accesses and public transport shelters are currently being tested.
